Background of the Jewel of India

Owner, Mr. Jujhar Singh began his restaurant career in 1986 in Boulder, Colorado. He was the co-owner of India's Restaurant («««««) located in Aurora, Colorado, for a number of years. He is originally from Patiala, in the state of  Punjab, India, where hospitality is almost an art form! Punjab has been long been recognized throughout India and the world, for its warriors (Sikhs) and wise ones (Gurus) as well as for people who are warm, open and hospitable.

A guest in Punjab is considered to be a "representative sent by God." Therefore Punjabi guests are treated like royalty. This belief by Punjabis, is not left behind in their homeland as they make other lands their new home, and Mr. Singh is no exception!
